So, the entire Dholakia family came together to organise the event named “Vatan nu Vhal” (meaning “Tribute to the Homeland”) at the Dudhala village, fulfilling his wish. The event was organised in the evening of 26th February 2022.

Govind Dholakia during the event declared that he wants to build the village of Dudhala as a “Smart village” which will power up with Green energy and Digital connectivity. The village would meet all its electricity requirements with the solar power installation, which will involve rooftop solar PV systems installation at all the homes in Dudhala. He will be bearing the cost of the Solar village project, which would be approximately 4 crores.

During the event, he also promised to provide free wi-fi services to Dudhala. Wi-fi services worth approximately 75 lacs will be set up. Such a digital connectivity will enable facilities of tele-medicine, tele-education, e-health, e-entertainment, etc. and create local employment opportunities and drive socio-economic growth in the area. Majority of Indians live in rural areas and therefore this pathbreaking initiative will serve as a backbone for transforming India into a digitally empowered knowledge economy, by ensuring internet service to one and all.

When in last year Govind Dholakia had underwent liver transplant, he could more keenly understand the importance of medical infrastructure and timely medical help. So as a contribution towards research and benefit for the underprivileged patients, he had donated Rs. 1 crore to Kiran hospital, and Rs. 1 crore as a token of gratitude to the staff of Kiran hospital. With the same spirit, he has now announced that Laljidada no vadlo will be providing free medication and other services worth Rs. 1.5 crore. During his liver transplant, the entire Dudhala village had come together and prayed for his healthy life and well-being. And for those prayers, he could recover well. Thus, as a token of good will and gratitude, he is giving a monetary gift worth Rs. 2 crore to the people of Dudhala.
