SRK-Kalam Health Project - India’s First Population Health Study
Our Former President of India, Late Dr APJ Abdul Kalam’s enduring dream to contribute in doing the needful for the rural and deprived population of our country, inspired us to launch the ‘Kalam Health Project’ and carry out India’s First Population Health Study.
The study was done at geographically challenged Saurashtra and other rural areas of Gujarat, in addition to embedding modern technology into social work. Till date, around 1,12,000 people have undergone health check-up for the Kalam Health Project. Findings of above research project has been shared with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) along with Health Policy Authority of State and Nation. To make an impact, SRKKF has aligned itself to work on UN SDG Goal 3. The findings of the project has been published in “Niramya Health Report.” We feel priviledged to take forward Dr Kalam’s vision as our own mission!
